What was your motivation to start your own business?
My motivation was I had a huge issue getting up every morning going to work for some one else. Always thinking in the back of my mind what we’re they doing? Still in bed? on vacation? Nothing? just any of those things was not what I envisioned that I wanted to continue to make happen for someone else. Although I give kudos to those who have achieved greatness and success but to that end; I could do the same. I decided to rise and go and make my dream happen.

What path did you take to get to where you are now?
Wow, I didn’t start out in the manufacturing of beauty products. This business was developed from my 20-year experience of being an Esthetician (skincare expert) after sitting behind the chair doing spa services and owning 4 Brick and mortars. I needed something new and fresh so I decided to close my spa in June 2014. Not knowing what I wanted to do being in the beauty business for so long. So, I decided to get a job making credit cards I knew nothing about credit cards.

I think they hired me because I knew color theory; you know all of those pretty colors that make sense on our credit cards. Well that journey lasted all of six months.  Literally one Sunday night I was lying in bed and rubbed my hand across my legs and said OMG my legs are so dry! In that same moment the universe spoke and said make Body Butter Whips. Of course, I say what? That night I sat up and started doing some research. Please keep in mind this was supposed to be for me one butter. Now 27 butters and a full skincare line. I thank the universe!

Tell me about a project or accomplishment that you consider to be the most significant in your career and why.
I just completed a full skincare line it’s a great accomplishment. It was a challenge to me because I knew that I could create this line but I wasn’t sure if I would be able to do it alone.

Also, to be crazy enough to think that my product would be excepted in any retailer’s store. We are now in four stores and was just approved for online for Walmart.

If we circle back here a year from now celebrating what a great year it’s been for you in this role, what would you have achieved?
I would have achieved patience’s and trust also building amazing relationships.
